Michelle Floyd
Facility Administrator
Hello, my name is Michelle Floyd, and I am the new Facility Administrator at 7 Star Horse Therapy. With 15 years of experience in the medical field, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of individuals, from dialysis patients to those in private care and home health settings.
My mission is to expand our programs to reach more communities and continue advocating for the benefits of equine therapy. Although I am new to this field, I firmly believe in the healing power of horses and the tranquility they bring.
Outside of work, I cherish my role as a grandparent to our wonderful grandchildren. I also enjoy playing softball, painting, and creating jewelry. As a mother of three children and three stepchildren, I am passionate about helping people in the best way I can and find great joy in seeing positive outcomes.

Sarah Oerly
Equine Specialist
Hi, my name is Sarah Oerly. I am originally from Missouri, where I grew up on my family’s farm. This is where my love for horses and helping horses help people started. I have Mild CP and have experience firsthand the physical and mental healing horses offer.
While in high school, I volunteered at a Therapeutic riding center and knew that was what I wanted to do for a job. In 2018, I transferred to WTAMU to complete my bachelor’s degree in Equine Industry and Business. I graduated in 2020 and took a job with 7 star as an Equine specialist for the EAP program. This was my first experience with Psychotherapy, and it didn’t take long for me to fall in love with the mental health field.
I am now working to complete my master’s in social work and hope to get my clinical license. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my Corgi Bandit and my horse Snazzy. I also enjoy helping with 7 Star's Therapeutic Riding program when I have time.

I have been certified in the EAGALA model for over a decade. Witnessing profound transformation as resilient but wounded souls walk towards wholeness is rewarding. It is an honor to walk alongside clients from various ages and seasons in life: Veterans, First-Responders, Families, Adults with developmental struggles, Adults who are struggling through homelessness, Victims of crimes, Teenagers, College Students, Married and pre-married Couples, Ministry Teams, and Corporate Groups. As these clients have grown, I have been blessed to learn from them….and the horses. Thank you for the opportunity to journey with you in this unique, life-changing experience.

Originally from Pampa, TX, I have been a teacher in the Catholic School system for 33 years serving as principal for 7 of those years. Currently, I am teaching math at Ascension Academy Preparatory School. My training in Equine Studies began over 20 years ago as a certified Equine Body Worker trained by Equinology, Inc. based in Los Angeles, CA. As a bodyworker, I worked directly on the horse as an athlete stretching, massaging, and rehabilitating injuries. After returning to Amarillo, I joined 7 Star in 2012 as a volunteer, board member, and finally as a Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor through PATH, Int’l. Currently, I am studying to become a Mentor Instructor through PATH.
